  • I’m all about design. I love design thinking and the process that it can lend to solving problems. What I lack in formal UX Design experience, I make up for with decades of experience as a crafter: a seeker of creative projects ranging in media and size.

I’ve been a crafter from an early age. I got my start with crafting kits - think beaded bracelet kits and sand art, and have graduated to dreaming up my own projects. These projects usually stem from a problem or need and range from small things like greeting cards and party invitations, to building a custom desk out of old wooden boards.

With each project, I find myself problem solving by following the design thinking process. I get to know the user (no, it’s not always me!) and consider their needs for the completed project. I consider the right tools and methods and seek out resources that will teach me what I need to know to be successful. I’m also not afraid to fail. Even in a failed project, there is so much to gain.
